On the 11th December, 2019, I met Mellers safeguarding team for updates. The meeting started at about 1.30 pm.  The session was chaired by the head teacher, Ms Dawson.  Eight persons including myself were present. Cases were discussed starting from the most urgent to the least urgent.  I can confirm that safety and well being of all pupils are central to the team and the entire management of Mellers Primary School.

Members of the team are sent on mandatory training as and when due. Ms Dawson does train some members of the committee as well. Among the safeguarding team is a behaviour expert.

I am quite satisfied with the briefing from the head teacher and will look forward to the next meeting.
