20.11.23 Carol McCrone, Vice Chair of Governors

Good to catch up with Henry Ward on 20 November, as part of my SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) Governing Body monitoring role.

Life is very busy for the SEND team, doing their utmost to support the needs of our children and giving them the best start possible for their education. I know they are all working extremely hard to provide the best care possible, in difficult times of increasing need, which is both a national and local pressure.

While I was at Mellers, Henry showed me the new Garden Room, which is a fantastic new asset and peaceful resource for our children and staff to use for intervention work.

It was good to hear how SEND staff are working across the Federation. A massive ‘thank you’ to the team, from me, on behalf of governors, for all they do for children at Mellers and Nottingham Nursery. Please have a lovely, restful Christmas break and look after yourselves!
