At Mellers, we have a very active school council. Each July, we have an election, supported by Nottingham City’s Electoral Service to elect the Heads of Houses for the following year. The candidates campaign and present their manifesto to the school in an assembly. All children have a vote. It is an important lesson in democracy. Each class also elects a School Council representative.
The school council meet regularly to discuss matters that arise within school. The Heads of Houses also attend Primary Parliament to act as a voice for our pupils within Nottingham City.
