8.9.23 Sue Blakeway, Vice Chair of Governors
It was a pleasure to visit the Nottingham Nursery School, an opportunity to see happy and busy children enjoying their learning. The environment is excellent, and the children have a choice of activities to engage in and enjoy. It was a warm morning and most of the children were enjoying the outdoors.
Since my last visit, there have been many improvements made to the provision, the outdoor play area is looking very good indeed. On behalf of the Governing Body, I would like to record my thanks to John, the site manager, who has clearly worked tirelessly to make these improvements. The whole site is looking much improved.
The atmosphere at the Nursery was calm and purposeful. Staff were busy interacting with children, the children were all engaged in a variety of activities. I had the opportunity to speak to one of the teachers and she is planning improvements in the displays across the school; this will further enhance the provision.
All evidence indicates that the start to term has been positive and purposeful. Being able to see such happy children was uplifting.
