I’m Carol McCrone, joint vice chair of governors and my key strategic governance role is to monitor Finance and Resources; I chair the governing body’s Finance and General Purposes Committee.  I am pleased to have been a co-opted governor at Mellers since November 2015.

I love the positive and inclusive nature of Mellers and really believe it is second to none in terms of the excellent start to education that it offers all of our children. In the past, I have also been a governor at my children’s primary and secondary schools.  I work in the HR team at Nottingham City Council, providing support to Nottingham City schools and to central services.  In my spare time, I enjoy supporting my children in their various hobbies and sporting activities; history, travel, cooking and reading.
