I’m Sue Blakeway, joint vice chair of the federated governing body and co-opted governor. My key strategic governance role is to monitor Teaching and Learning. I chair the Governing Body’s Pupil Progress Committee.
I have enjoyed a long career in secondary education and have recently retired from a role as Vice Principal in a city school. I am committed to the development of all children and am excited to be working with Mellers to ensure that all of the pupils are able to make academic progress and access wider opportunities. This is my second tenure as a primary governor; I undertook this role several years ago at my own children’s school. I hope that my experience, drive, enthusiasm and commitment have a positive impact on the work of the school.
